The first ozashiki of the year with Geiko and Maiko from Hanafusa Okiya was nothing short of magical! The evening was filled with graceful performances, soft melodies from the shamisen, and the welcoming warmth of Kyoto’s hanamachi traditions. Guests were treated to intimate dances, heartfelt conversation, and the kind of hospitality that only a true ozashiki can offer.

With each step and gesture, the Maiko and Geiko brought the spirit of the New Year to life—capturing the elegance and charm that makes Kyoto's culture so beloved. Between performances, guests sipped sake and shared laughter, enjoying the peaceful rhythm of this age-old tradition.

🌸✨ New Year’s Elegance from Kyoto to Okinawa ✨🌸

Maiko and Geiko from Kyoto Kagai SIM graced the Okinawa New Year Festival with stunning traditional dance performances, bringing the refined artistry of Kyoto’s hanamachi to the southern islands.

Dressed in formal kimono, they performed classical Japanese dances with poise and precision—sharing the spirit of Kyoto’s cultural heritage with a captivated Okinawan audience. Their presence was a beautiful reminder of the deep traditions that continue to thrive and inspire across Japan.
